Almost 1 year old!
This time last year ...
Home from the doc with a catheter in my cervix...cramping crazily...pail had just gotten take out and we were trying to watch a show...
That night I couldn't sleep...tried the couch...too uncomfortable...finally listened to my hypnosis track and crashed out ...
Then up to go to the hospital to have my water broken... Showed up at 7cm and two hours later...Jacob!
Biggest high of my life! Yay endorphins!
And most reward for pain and effort.
Love that little dude.

Happy Fathers Day
For Father's Day I got you a 1 year old whose double ear infection didn't respond to antibiotics and who could only stand his 103 degree fever (that's post-Tylenol temp mind you) in his Daddy's arms.
Oh, I forgot to mention, you also get the free gift of a seriously wacked out toddler who will stay up until 10:30 whimpering and willful and insane. She will only come out of her room when the baby does sleep, thus preventing you from drinking that beer you opened and watching your favorite show.
These gifts are yours if the price is right!
Good thing I made the blueberry coffeecake with full sugar (no honey substitute here) this morning and carted the kids off so he could sleep until 8am. That was the last time he got to feel peaceful and calm today!
A true Father's Day!
I hope tomorrow is easier...
Happy Father's Day to all the dads who have the burden and the privledge of being able to soothe those little ones, and who let the mamas tap-out.

Animal Shelter
Lots of dog buying this morning. And creative use of markers to keep Jacob from freeing all the pets (takes after his mom).

Logic
"Mommy, can you put this blanket on the ceiling?"
"Why? Are you going to sit on it?"
"No, mommy. I cannot climb on the ceiling."
Somehow, I feel like I failed a test.
